No Space Between Us

Last winter in Istanbul, my wife and I had to live in a single room to survive the coldest part of winter. Already stuck in the house because of the pandemic, things got extra cramped.

Before signing papers on a new apartment last year we had some friends vet the place and they all made the same prediction: It will be cold in the winter. No one above or below and lots of windows. But we needed a place to live, and it was cheap.
