Outstanding write! It's truly a shame that designers are busy finding ways to increase revenue at any cost (at user's expense), and that design ethics turned into a pirate code.
The practices that Amazon, SiriusXM, and others employ to deceive the user should be made illegal. Customers have a right to opt out at any time, users have a right to own their data.
